Our Mission

Mission:

Created in 2013, the mission of the Amalia Lopez Memorial Student Literacy Scholarship is to honor our mother and to provide scholarships to graduating Bagdad High School Students.   

Values and Principles:

Demonstrate excellent stewardship for all donated funding.

The Amalia Lopez Memorial Student Literacy Scholarship committee, which consists of her husband and six children will treat all applicants:

• Equally with dignity, respect and compassion regarding their educational financial needs
• Without discrimination
• Promote open door communication with the public

Selection criteria for scholarships may include but is not limited to:  Participation in school, community activities, academic performance, financial need and recommendations from teachers and community members.

Our annual goal is to assist a minimum of two Bagdad High School students.
