“Education is a gift that last a lifetime”
As we prepare for the 9th Annual Amalia Lopez Memorial Scholarship, I would like to share a success story. In 2020 Kaleb Owings was one of our scholarship recipients and he was headed to Wisconsin to further his education and play baseball at Lakeland University in Wisconsin.
Kaleb played two seasons of baseball in Wisconsin. After transferring back to Arizona, he completed his college education at Yavapai College. In addition to completing his college education in January he completed NARTA Police Academy and is now a police officer in Prescott, AZ. Congratulations Kaleb – Your success motivates us to continue our mission to help Bagdad High School students further their education.
